I lost more weight in the last week I'm down almost two more pounds, 1.9 to be exact. I can't believe how well I'm doing and I know it can't be like this forever but for now I'll take it! I've really been trying to be aware of what I'm putting in my mouth, especially since I'm a mindless eater, and it's really helping.
This week was pretty easy to stay on track. Only one big road block and that was a suprise party for a good friend. Luckily since I was her distratction to get her out of the house we went to lunch so I didn't eat much at the actual party.
So now it's a new week and I'm determined to get at least 20 minutes of exercise in every day this week. Monday and Thursday are easy because those are my Zumba days and I don't have anything else competing for my time. It's Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday that are the issues, but I'm determined to lose this weight so I'll just have to figure it out. Also, I'm trying to stop the late eating, lately I'm lucky if I get dinner before 8 because of being a weekday single mom but I'm going to try and stop eating every by 8, so that's 2 hours before bed, not sure if that's gonna make difference but we'll see.
So here's the stats:
Starting weight: 156.7
Today's weight: 153.1
Weekly loss: -1.9
Total loss: -3.6
First goal: 150 - (reward - massage)
Final goal: 130 (reward - COACH bag)

I Lost...
Weight that is! Since last Monday I've lost 1.7 lbs!!! I'm only 5 lbs away from my first goal and hopefully in time for my littlest sisters wedding next month. I'm acutally suprised that I lost so much considering all the eating and no exercising I did this weekend but I'll take it. Today I'm getting back on track with the exercising and food listing. Keeping track of my food is what really helps me. I'm a grazer and snacker and eater even when I'm not hungry. If I'm writing on everything that I'm eating I'm able to stay more aware of what I'm putting in my mouth. It's suppose to be beautiful all week so I see lots of walking in mine and Bean's future, I can't wait since Bean always seems to sleep so much better when he gets some fresh air.
Well, here's where I'm at:
Starting weight: 156.7
Today's weight: 155
Weight loss: -1.7
First goal: 150 - (reward - massage)
Final goal: 130 (reward - COACH bag)

Mother's Day
HAPPY MOTHER's DAY! I've kind of been celebrating this day for 4 years, ever since I became a step-Momma, but there's something different about this day when the baby celebrating you is your own. Sure the Bean doesn't really realize what today is but I firmly believe in leading by example, or at least trying to, which is why I always spend Mother's Day celebrating the Momma's in my life who have helped make me the Momma that I am and hope to be come --- my two sisters and my Momma. This year we, really me, decided that since Hubz' Mom is now in VA it would be easier for everyone involved if we had all the Momma's, mine and both of his, over all at once. This also leaves time for the newer Momma's -- me, sisters and sister-in-law -- to celebrate with our families later in the day, if that's what our husbands decide to do. So we're having a brunch at our house on Sunday. It's not often that we do something with just the family so it should be nice.
This time last year I was about half-way through my pregnancy with the Bean and close to having my all-day sickness just being continuous sea-sickness (that's the best way to describe how I felt from about 6-months on). Since I was so sick and food made me sick hubz didn't know what to do for me so we went to a movie and it just so happened that the COACH outlet got a GIANT shipment of diaper bags in that week so we got my diaper bag for waaaaay less than I had planned. All in all a good day. I can't wait to see what this year has to hold. While I don't expect presents, they're always nice, there are a few things that would be nice to have like a new bathrobe and slippers or:

8 MONTHS!
Sir Trip
I have a million nicknames for you. I'll probably have to settle on one eventually, so that you're not confused, but for now I just use them all until I find the one I love the most.
I can't believe you're 8 months already! I feel like we were just finding out about you and now you're one month closer to 1! This month was pretty slow in the realm of things but still monumental to Momma. I'm watching you change every day and it makes me sad, happy and excited. It's the circle of life really to watch you grow and change! You celebrated your first Easter and are attemepting to start crawling but you're not really getting anywhere, and I think you're starting to get a little frustrated, but no worries you're still a mover. You STILL have no teeth and at this rate I wonder if you'll have teeth to eat cake at your first birthday. We bought your convertible car seat, even though you're not ready for it, and I can't believe that pretty soon you'll be sitting up like a big boy looking around and not lying in the bucket, where has the time gone.
Speaking of your first birthday....plans are already underway, sure it's still four months away but you and brother both have birthdays in September so Momma has to be on her game if she wants you both to have fantastic parties ... which really goes without saying.
Sweet baby boy I couldn't be prouder to be your Momma you make me laugh, cry and stand in awe every day. I know that these feelings will forever be a part of my life and I can't wait to see where the next month takes us.
Happy 8 months Bean! Momma loves you!

Thankful on Thursday
It's Thursday, but for me it's really Friday since I'm off tomorrow! With Mother's Day this weekend I thought it'd be nice to be reminded of the reason(s) I get to celebrate on Sunday.

Here Comes the Bride ... with a much skinnier Bridesmaid
This time last year I was revelling in the excitement of my little sister getting married. I was her Matron of Honor and I was five months pregnant. And to be quite honest considering how I spent most days, over the toilet, I looked pretty good. Well, it's that time again! My baby sister, the last of the us, is getting married in a 38 days! I weigh more now, not pregnant, than I did last year when I was ... WHAT THE HELL! It's my own fault really so I'm doing something about it. I'm getting my lazy hind end out of bed, since that's where I plop once I'm doing getting things undid and redid for the work day, and getting moving. I've renewed myself to get the weight off. For me it's not about the number on the scale but more about how I feel and right now I feel like a big pile of crap, probably because that's all I've been eating.
I started using My Fitness Pal to track my calories and exercise. I always do better when I can see what I'm putting in. I'm thinking about talking my sister-in-law in to a weight loss/exercise challenge, she's trying to get healthy again too (plus she reads this blog so if I put in writing it holds us both accountable). My goal is to lose 6 lbs by my sister's wedding in June. It's pretty doable since her wedding is in a little less than 6 weeks and I should be losing 1 lb a week. My big goal is 20 lbs by the Bean's first birthday which is 16 weeks away which at 1lb a week would bring me just shy of my 20 lb goal so we shall see. Once I reach my final goal it'll be all about maintaing.
So here it is I'm putting it all in writing.
Current weight (as of today): 156.7
1st goal weight (by 11 June): 150
Final goal weight (by 7 Sep): 130
Less crap and more exercise should do it this I know. My problem always comes in the excution. I'm always too tired or the baby's too tired or did I mention I'm too tired? But this isn't going to work anymore. I'm not happy with how I look or feel so I'm doing something about it ... or at least I'm going to try.

In Case You Hadn't Heard....
Osama Bin Laden is DEAD ... yes D-E-A-D!!! Almost 10 years after 9/11 the mastermind behind one of the most devestating days in American history is no more and I say GOOD RIDDENS. There's a special place in HELL waiting for you!
I'm a "retired" Army brat and many of my closes friends and family have served or are serving our great Nation, this place I call home ... the good ol' U-S-A. To them and their families I thank you! For the sacrafices that you've all made during the last 10 years. To the families that I may never meet I thank you as well. And to those whose love ones have made the ultimate sacrafice my prayers and most hearfelt thank you!
Today as we all cheer and thank God for what I truely see as a blessing may we also keep in mind all that has been lost. My brother-in-law posted the following on Facebook and I just had to share.

Now I lay me down to sleep...one less terrorist the world to keep...with all my heart I give my thanks...to those in uniform regardless of ranks...you serve our country and serve it well...with humble hearts your stories tell...so as I rest my weary eyes...while freedom rings our flag still flies...you give your all, do what you must...with God we live and God we trust....Amen
GOD BLESS AMERICA & OUR SOLIDERS!
